Hot Springs Village – Hot Springs Village is a census designated place in Garland and Saline counties in Arkansas with its own Zip code. Since it is situated in two counties, it is also part of two metropolitan statistical areas. The Village is 45 minutes from Little Rock and 12 miles from historic Hot Springs. It is a retirement community with its own police force, fire department and paramedics. Situated on 26,000 acres this community (which has no age restrictions) offers residents a wealth of housing options and recreational activities. Residents have access to 12 beautiful recreational lakes for fishing, swimming and boating, 16 tennis courts, a fitness center, a 650-seat performing arts center and over 20 miles of wooded nature trails to take in the beauty and wildlife. Mountain Home – Mountain Home (population 12,000) is located in the Ozark Mountains, not far from the Missouri border. It is situated between two very large, crystal clear, man-made lakes, and near three rivers. It offers a laid back lifestyle with outstanding fishing, water sports and recreation. The cost of living is very reasonable and it is deemed a safe city. There are many dining choices, golf, and a good-sized regional medical center.
