When should Enroll in a Massachusetts Medicare Supplement Plan?
Individuals become eligible to enroll in Medicare three months before turning 65, with coverage beginning on the first day of the month when they turn 65. In most other states, the typical guaranteed enrollment window for Medicare supplement plans, or Medigap, is the six months after you turn 65 or enroll in Medicare, but this does not apply in Massachusetts. If you are a Massachusetts resident you can enroll in Medigap any time without medical underwriting.
