There are a few ways to contact Both Coast Logistics for a quote. You’ll find a number to call, an email address and an online quote form on its website. The form does not generate instant quotes, but it gives you a way to let an agent know a few details. You’ll get a call back to discuss your needs and options later.

Both Coast Logistics Costs and Cancellation Policy

The cost Both Coast Logistics charges depends on the moving services you require. We found an average cost, including cross-country transportation, of around $4,500. However, costs can vary greatly depending on the time of year, fuel prices, the weight of items moved and other variables. Adding unplanned items on the truck after receiving a firm quote typically results in additional charges.

Both Coast Logistics works with a network of moving companies and professional drivers and can determine the lowest cost for moving your home or company. Ask about AAA, military or public service worker discounts, if any would apply to your situation. For senior moving services, ask about AARP or senior discounts.

Both Coast Logistics publishes its cancellation policy on its website. You can cancel within 72 hours of when your agent books the carrier for an 85% refund. The remaining 15% is a processing fee. If you cancel earlier, you should expect no charge.

Both Coast Logistics Complaints

Both Coast Logistics has been in business since 2020 and does not yet have a Better Business Bureau rating. The 15 complaints filed with the BBB (a relatively low number) were all answered. Customer reviews on the BBB site yield 3.91 out of 5 stars. One review with a low score was from a consumer who shipped more items than initially planned, resulting in a higher bill at the destination.

Consumer reviews on MyMovingReviews average just under 5 stars. The vast majority of reviews are positive. A handful of 1-star reviews include fictitious reviews from people the company has no record of serving. VerifiedMovers reviews give the company 4.65 out of 5 stars, again with some suspicious negative reviews.

Google reviews gives Both Coast Logistics 4.4 out of 5 stars. Customers noted the company provides excellent communication with friendly yet professional customer service. Some customers complained that Both Coast Logistics contracts out moving services, but the company is very clear about its brokerage services. Each complaint was answered and resolved.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! I should have heeded the warnings about this company that were available online so please, listen to us now. This company is a logistics company. By definition, "logistics" means coordination of complex detail of operation.

This company from my experience CLEARLY failed to function as the logistical center of my move. At first, it seemed promising to work with this company. I spoke with sales representative who promised me a great move at a reasonable price. But that is a bait and switch.

They hired out a moving company (to be named in a later post) who, to say the least, was non-communicative. I called BOTH COAST on a few different occasions to find out the status and the update of the move of my family's belongings to the new home.

Each time, I was assured by representative that I worked with through the duration that he would get a hold of the moving company to find out what was happening on their end. No return phone calls from Oscar or BOTH COAST on this matter.

About one-month to a month-and-a half of making these phone calls to both the hired moving company and the representative at BOTH COAST... nothing. Then, on a weekday morning I hear the ominous sound of a moving truck backing up outside of my townhome....at 5:30 am.

I had not one bit of a heads up that the truck was coming to disturb myself and my neighbors at such an early time in the morning. Needless to say my neighbors were none to happy.

Upon their arrival at an UNGODLY time of day, the movers were charging me MUCH more than I expected to be charged based on the space in the truck that I was quoted. I had no choice but to pay what was demanded in order to retrieve my elderly mother's belongings from the truck.

During the time the movers were unpacking my things, I watched them start to open an unfamiliar package. It was a TV that I did not own. I told the foreman that it wasn't our TV and he, for some reason, tried to challenge me on that.

He said "What do you mean?". Then went out to get the invoice of things to be delivered, trying to show that I was wrong. I was not. Why would I turn away a 60" TV? Also, as we finally got unpacked I have realized that we are missing some items and would assume that it got misplaced by this company.

I addressed this with the representative at BOTH COAST LOGISTICS about the move and he became very defensive. Very poor customer service. He did not want to take responsibility of the actions of the moving company that they hired out.

Yet, they are supposed to be the logistical company, so how is their professionalism, or lack thereof, not a concern of the company's? In conclusion, just don't do it. Make certain to honor the consumer reviews that you see prior to hiring any such moving and/or logistical company.
