Like all Senior Star properties, The Kenwood offers a variety of daily events and programming for its residents. Events include aquatic exercise classes, book club, poker games, Spanish classes, knitting, creative writing and movie showings. BikeAround, another signature programming option, includes virtual bike rides around Cincinnati (or anywhere in the world), where residents can ride a stationary bike while watching scenes from Google Street View projected on a large wrap-around screen.
Meals are prepared by an on-site chef and include dishes such as trout almondine and center-cut filet mignon, and the facilities include a wine cellar, a pub with large-screen televisions and fresh popcorn and a dining room with a dance floor and views of the Kenwood bluffs.
Daily transportation, even on Saturdays and Sundays, is offered by appointment on a first come, first served basis. Additionally, a weekly shopping schedule is available, where residents receive transportation to various retailers, including Kroger, CVS and Wal-Mart.
Seniors aged 55 and older can also choose to live in The Bluffs at Kenwood, a high-end, gated condo community featuring 24 apartments with amenities like stainless steel appliances, climate-controlled underground parking, 24/7 security and a private balcony.
