I placed my mother in Stonehaven (which was the Linden) in December of 2020- during Covid. This is something no one ever wants to do. Things started out well. My mother wasn’t completely incapable of understanding things at that time and her needs were being met. Fast forward to 2025- this place is now owned by Legends and the turnover is insane. In the beginning I used to have zero issues with contacting someone about Mom. In the end, I wouldn’t ever get calls back. Mom’s clothes would go missing. Bedding set completely disappeared. Silly little things. I would receive phone calls on a regular basis to come in and sign a care plan, etc. I was always very responsive to their phone calls. Mom went on hospice - thankfully and at that point, they pretty much depended on her hospice provider to do her car. They no longer brushed her teeth. Her hair was only done on the days that Aliyah and Maria would come out.

She would never been in her own clothing. There was always an excuse. The turning point came when my mom developed a decubitus ulcer on her foot. No one at Stonehaven bothered to notify me. Apparently they weren’t looking at her feet. They quickly blamed the hospice company (who saw Mom 30 minutes each visit. Initially she was seen by hospice weekly and then daily). My mom was paying Stonehaven for care, not the hospice company. Hospice ended up putting foam booties on Mom so that her foot may heal. However, every time I came visit, she didn’t have the preventative booties on. I had to transfer my mom at the end of January. Upon transfer to her new facility she started talking a lot, holding her own cup, interacting. Stonehaven just pushes all the residents into a big circle and turns on old tv shows or extremely loud music. We figured out quickly mom was depressed.

I looked at what Stonehaven as a place to care for my mother in her final days. They failed. Kristina- the “nurse” yelled at the hospice provider that brought up a Broda chair for my mom. She did this in front of several staff and that was ok. Every Legends facility allows Broda chairs but Stonehaven claims they don’t. Peggy K- at the main office told me that Broda chairs are allowed. On the day I moved my mom I told a particular staff member that my mother’s brand new item of clothing was missing and I needed to get them. They didn’t acknowledge me at all. Just a gap jawed stare. Jessica ** and Jessica ** are more concerned with silly little meetings or decorating the common areas.

Every time I would go to the office area they were always in a “meeting”. Meetings happened daily. Before you consider this place- please look beyond the beautiful exterior. If you have a family member you are placing in memory care- RECONSIDER STONEHAVEN. There are much more superior choices in Tulsa and the surrounding area.
