The Walk at East Village is an active adult retirement community right next to the city of Clayton, NC. Located near The Walk at East Village is the vibrant and active downtown Clayton, NC, with restaurants and shopping locations.
The Walk at East Village will consist of only 265 homes with the premium amenities that are usually only found in much larger community settings, and The Walk is also the only 55+ Active Adult Community that is within walking distance of downtown. Therefore, on top of the amenities listed below, residents will also be able to experience the small town charm and rich southern history of the vibrant downtown of Clayton. A popular micro-brewery located in an old cotton mill, a 1920s Ford dealership repurposed into a modern office building, jazz-infused cocktail lounges and rooftop dining restaurants are just part of the lure now adorning Main Street.

How many floor plans are available?
Answer
There are 17 total floor plans available for customers to choose from, 10 ranch plans (1 story) and 7 ranch plus plans (two stories).

What dining options are available?

There are no dining options available onsite as of now. There are cooking classes twice monthly hosted in our amenity building, The Mill Room, and once our clubhouse, The Village Club, is completed (Summer 2020), there will be cooking classes hosted in the demonstration kitchen. Just a short drive up the street (1 mile) is downtown Clayton where you can find tons of restaurants such as Mannings, Tavern 42, Vinsons, Clayton Steakhouse, Carribean Delight, and much more.

What activities are available for residents?

Upon completion of the clubhouse (Summer 2020) residents will be able to use the premium fitness center, the saltwater pool, the yoga studio, the dog park, the sports lounge, the ball room, the arts and craft studio, the bocce ball courts, the pickle ball courts, and the putting green. At the moment we have an intermediary amenity building called The Mill Room, and our lifestyle director, Sally Schlindwein, hosts events frequently. Some of the recurring events that she hosts are Healthy Eating Cooking Classes, Grill outs when it's warm, Sundaes on Sunday, Wine Tastings, Bible Study, Book Club, Craft Classes, and more.
