As a registered and licensed occupational therapist, Dawn leverages her expertise in home modifications and universal design to help clients age in place and live independently in their homes. She is the founder of Aurora Independence, which provides home accessibility and home safety consulting on construction projects, additions, and other modifications.

In addition to spending years as a rehabilitation professional, Dawn is a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist and possesses an Executive Certification in Home Modifications. She generously imparts her knowledge as a sought-after guest speaker at universities, a national provider of continuing education for healthcare and remodeling professionals, and a consultant to the remodeling industry.

She educates other occupational therapists at a national level with her course, Home Modifications for the Rehab Professional, with PESI®.
