Walk-In Bathtub Models Available

Independent Home offers eight custom assembled walk-in tub models and features. If you’re unsure of which tub type best fits your space and meets your needs, you can schedule an in-home consultation with our experts. They will suggest options tailored to your lifestyle and safety preferences and will also take measurements to determine appropriate sizing.

The walk-in tub types and dimensions available with Independent Home include:

  • Standard model (30″ W x 52″ L): Most common walk-in tub designed to fit most standard 60-inch long bathtub/shower stalls.
  • Standard slim model (26″ W x 53″ L or 45″ L): Best for older homes with narrow doorways and smaller individuals.
  • Front loading model (32” W x 38” L): Small tub designed to fit in bathrooms with a small shower stall.
  • Wheelchair access (30” W x 52” L): An accessible tub with an outward swing door to make transfers safer and easier. (Remember, outward doors require a larger bathroom space.)

Independent Home Walk-In Tub Costs

Independent Home offers interested customers an all-inclusive quote (including installation) with no hidden fees or charges. Due to the custom nature of its bathtubs, pricing is not listed online. However, Independent Home offers a $1,500-off installation coupon on its website, and, for qualified buyers, financing is available from multiple credit partners. For the most accurate pricing, Independent Home recommends having a technician inspect your bathroom to determine your requirements.

Walk-in tubs usually cost between $2,300 and $25,000 depending on the model type, size, selected features, and installation requirements. If you’re a veteran, you may be able to get a home modification or service grant to help pay for a walk-in tub. Non-veterans can also take advantage of state-based programs and other financial assistance from non-profits.

Walk-In Tub Installation

After purchasing your tub, Independent Home will send a certified installer to your home for installation. Each certified installer has a minimum of five years of experience with an average of over 200 installs each. Independent Home will remove your old tub and install the new walk-in tub or shower in as little as one day. They will also provide a tutorial on how to use the safety, convenience, and comfort features.

As a factory-direct company, Independent Home backs its sales, installation, and service. Every tub is rigorously tested during construction to guarantee the electrical components and the watertight seal.

Independent Home Walk-In Tub Warranty

All walk-in tubs from Independent Home are backed by a lifetime warranty that covers key components, including the door seal, metal frame, fiberglass spa shell, gel coat finish, workmanship, faucets, motors, pumps, and control panels. You can call its dedicated customer service and warranty support team for help resolving issues as long as you own the tub.

Independent Home Walk-In Tub Complaints

Most customer reviews from Independent Home are positive. The company has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and a 4.5-star rating, though there are several complaints about delays due to a lack of service technicians in the area and delays in communication between the service department, technicians, and customers.

On ConsumerAffairs, Independent Home boasts a 4.6-star rating. Happy customers praise the sales agents for following up after installation and for fast and accurate price quotes.

It is true... It is a great product with a great company. We have had the tub for a few years and had a minor issue with a piece of chrome. They were on the spot to fix it. Their warranty is good and so is their word. We then decided to upgrade with the beautiful shower doors. I would recommend this company. They are a rare find.

Don’t believe all the hype about lifetime warranties. I had to have my grab bars replaced 3 times cause the chrome was coming off, same with the door handle. And the tub drain also. When I called they told me they would only cover the parts not the labor. Leaving me to get a plumber at my expense. Also ask how much water it takes to fill it up. You better have a 50 gallon tank or better otherwise you’ll run out of hot water.
