With Ship Your Car Now, technology makes the process of shipping your car convenient and quick. Its website lets you do most of the process online but if you need clarification on something, you can take advantage of the live-chat feature. Ship Your Car Now uses technology for vehicle shipping to:

  • Verify each driver is accredited by the U.S. Department of Transportation (US DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

  • Allow you to track your vehicle’s location on any leg of the trip by contacting one of the multilingual logistics agents who are available 365 days a year, 24 hours a day via phone or online.

  • Receive automatic email notifications to keep you updated on your car’s movement.

  • Book your vehicle transport and make payments for the service online.

Ship Your Vehicle Safely

Ship Your Car Now ensures that your car has the right protection during each transport. This protection includes double insurance including contingent cargo insurance that covers $250,000 more than what the carriers they use offer. Classic and exotic vehicles get extra care and attention, and you have the option of an open or closed trailer (explained in the FAQs) for any car, motorcycle, RV, or boat.

If you have any concerns after your vehicle reaches its destination, a certified, in-house claims agent is available all day, seven days a week to address your concerns.

Ship Your Car Now Complaints

ConsumerAffairs based their 4.4 rating out of 5-star rating on 1,286 reviews. Over 250 customers have commented on the Ship Your Car Now website about their experiences and 99 percent of them are positive reviews. Satisfied customers say things like, “Professional, efficient, responsive,” “helpful and available for any questions or concerns” and “friendly and reliable.” Many note they will use Ship Your Car Now the next time they need to transport a vehicle. With the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) seeing a massive increase in complaints against auto transporters and auto transport brokers recently, the positive reviews are another plus for Ship Your Car Now.

Of the few negative reviews we read, people spoke about scheduling an appointment to have their vehicle moved and not hearing back from Ship Your Car Now and not being able to reach someone to inquire about the status of their booking appointment.

Ship Your Car Now Product-related Q&A

  • What documents do I need for Ship Your Car Now to transport my vehicle overseas?
You need two forms of government-issued personal identification to ship your vehicle out of the U.S.: the vehicle title and proof of ownership such as a bill of sale or certified letter of authorization from your lien holder. Other requirements are specific to military personnel, like proof of entitlement.

  • Are the drivers that Ship Your Car Now uses bonded and insured?
Yes. Before a driver can bid a job with Ship Your Car Now, they must provide the company with proof of insurance and their FMCSA MC ID number.

  • Will Ship Your Car Now let me store items in my vehicle for shipping?
Federal Law prohibits the inclusion of any extra items in vehicles transported both in and outside of the country. Any carrier that allows you to do so could receive a fine of up to $10,000. Ship Your Car Now’s contract specifies that you not only understand that you can’t store items in your vehicle, but if you do so and the carrier is fined, you will pay that fine. The shipping contract also lets you know that the insurance coverage does not extend beyond the vehicle. If you store items in the car and they are damaged during transport, you have no claim for loss of valuables beyond the vehicle itself.

  • How do I pay Ship Your Car Now for moving my car?
You pay for the initial fees for domestic or international shipments with your Amex, Discover, Visa or MasterCard credit card. The remaining balance for a domestic transport can be paid on delivery with certified funds such as a cashier’s check, money order, or cash (COD or COP). You will need to make the final payment for international shipments via wire transfer, certified check or money order before your vehicle sails. You can also make the full payment to Ship Your Car Now and they will pay the carrier on delivery, but you will need to pay the wire transfer fees associated with this arrangement.

  • Will Ship Your Car Now move my vehicle on an open trailer or an enclosed trailer?
Most vehicle shipments go on an open trailer to save on cost. An open trailer is the most common and least expensive type of vehicle trailer. Open trailers hold more vehicles and cost less for the driver to operate, and have an average damage rate of five percent a year. The trucks you see on the road carrying eight to 10 cars on bi-level trailers are open trailers.

Enclosed trailers usually only hold two vehicles, which are not exposed to outside elements. This trailer is safer but costs 60 to 80 percent more than using an open trailer. That cost is justified for shipping high-value and irreplaceable vehicles.

  • How long will it take for Ship Your Car Now to find a driver to move my vehicle?
For domestic transport, the company can find a driver in three to five days, but drivers are commonly available sooner on popular routes. For international deliveries, it can take a bit longer due to the amount of paperwork and government regulations for both the country of origin and the receiving country.

Conclusion

Ship Your Car Now is a favorite car shipping broker for many reasons. The positive reviews outnumber the negative, it has repeat customers for both business and personal service and it has an excellent reputation in the auto transport business. For your next move, be it temporary or permanent, check with Ship Your Car Now to avoid putting miles on your vehicle and to save yourself from the headache of trying to coordinate shipping a car, truck, boat or other vehicles.

Its Day 5 since putting a deposit down and receiving my Receipt, calling at 8:05 AM E.S.T. - The office is CLOSED! I have shipped over a dozen cars in the past. This is my worst experience ever. In this day and age, how can any company not communicate by email, home phone, cell phone, Text? There is no portal site with this company to provide any idea at all what is going on. If I don't hear back by 1 PM today, its going to be necessary to call my credit card company to reverse the charges for the down payment then pay a big premium from a real company to get the car moved. This morning, I spent 3 hours talking to operators that validate my phone number, but have no idea who, what , or where anyone responsible is at. They forward me to a phone number with a recorder that has not responded. After several calls to dispatcher, they claim they will send me to a supervisor that will return my call. Two hours is enough time to have a customer service call back. The brokers at ShipYourCarNow won't even respond back? Should have searched for ShipYourCarNow SCAM - so many reports of an absolute scam!
