Tempur-Pedic FAQ

  • Why is a Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed better than a conventional flat bed?
While comfort needs and personal preferences vary, some feel stress and strain on their hips and lower back when lying on a flat mattress, leading to less restful sleep. With an adjustable bed, you can elevate your head, legs and feet, relieving stress on those areas. As WebMD reports, medical professionals recommend adjustable beds to help with relief from sleep apnea, acid reflux or hip and back pain.

  • Who manufactures Tempur-Pedic adjustable beds?
All adjustable bases are made to Tempur-Pedic specifications by Reverie, a specialty bed manufacturer.

  • What is the weight limit for Tempur-Pedic adjustable beds?
Regardless of the size, every Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed supports up to 650 pounds as long as the weight is distributed evenly across the head and foot sections. Adjustable beds aren’t designed to support or lift the maximum load on one area of the frame.

  • Can I attach a headboard or footboard to a Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed?
Except for the TEMPUR-Up foundation, you can attach a headboard to a Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed but not a footboard.

  • How are Tempur-Pedic beds delivered?
If you order online from the Tempur-Pedic website, an in-home delivery company will call to schedule your delivery. Beds arrive seven to 14 business days from the date of your order. New Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed deliveries include setting up the bed in your bedroom and removing packing materials. The delivery service will take your old mattress and box spring away unless you prefer to keep them.

Conclusion

Sleep is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle and the benefits of an adjustable bed are numerous. According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, people who are chronically sleep deprived are more likely to have strokes, cardiovascular disease, infections, and certain types of cancer than those who regularly get enough sleep. It’s worth taking a look at what Tempur-Pedic has to offer in its adjustable bed department. Their varying features may suit your needs and the company’s solid warranties on adjustable bed frames and mattresses are some of the best around.
